When Hobbii presented me with the opportunity to design a pattern for their Home Sweet Home Decor promotion, I jumped at the opportunity to use their Toucan Super Bulky yarn! This yarn is so incredibly soft, and has all the right colors for any style rainbow you would like. I knew that making this for nursery decor, I wanted the colors to be a little muted, and I found the pastel shades to be just the right softness for a baby’s room.

In keeping with my constant mission to create pretty things that inspire creative play, I wanted this pattern to serve a duel purpose. It can sit in a corner and decorate your rocking chair or glider during the early months of your baby’s life, and then it can act as a playful plush for their little hands as they get older and begin to grab and play!

This pattern is a FREE download on Hobbii’s website, but I have provided a list of all the materials below for you, so you know if you’d like to proceed to the download.

Notes:

The Rainbow Cloud Pillow is crocheted in continuous rounds from side to side. The arms and legs are made similarly from the hands/feet up, and sewn on. I only stuffed the hands and feet and left the arms loose, but stuff as you so wish! The rounds begin by using the ch-2 method instead of the magic ring, because it works better for this yarn texture. The rosy cheeks are optional, and can be glued on to avoid sewing!

Size: Finished cloud is about 14″ wide, and 22″ tall (including the dangling legs).

The Rainbow Cloud Pillow is a FREE download available on the Hobbii Yarns website.
