Yarn brands and colors were based on what I had on hand. Find the closest colors you can to match! There are many important color changes in this tiny space, so I’ve been very specific here as to which colors are used where.

Notes: Know how to crochet in rnds. These patterns are worked from the head down, with no joining. Use a st marker as you work to mark the beginning of each rnd. Color changes can be made, by pulling next color through the 2 loops to finish off the previous stitch. As a free pattern, this pattern has not been tested, but is accurate to the best of my abilities. Please let me know if you find any errors!

Pocket Prince Beast Body, beginning at the top of the head |
This picture is to illustrate how to change colors. There will be a lot of color changes throughout this pattern. Always pull the next color through to end the previous st.
Attach Royalty. Drop, but don’t cut Honey. You will pick it back up for rnd 11.
Rnd 10: in Royalty (inc, sc in each of the next 2 sts), in White (inc, sc in each of the next 2 sts), in Royalty for remainder (inc, sc in each of the next 2 sts) 4x, pull Honey through at end of last st; 24 sts
You will be working this rnd with all three colors (White, Honey, and Royalty), keep the two you’re not using at any given time, behind your sts.
Rnd 11: [dc bobble in part Royalty and part Honey (see pictures for details), pull Royalty through the final loops to complete bobble and prepare for next sts], sc Royalty in next 3 sts, sc White in next 4 sts, sc Royalty in next 3 sts, pull Honey through the end of last st to prepare for bobble, using the detailed pictures repeat the bobble instructions from the brackets, sc Royalty in next 12 sts; 24 sts
1. Every bobble st will begin with Honey on the hook for the fur of the hands or feet.
2. Treating it like a dc, yarn over (pic 1) and insert hook into next st. Then yarn over and pull through. From this point, yarn over with Honey, and pull through 2 loops.
3. Yarn over again, to begin another dc. Insert into the same st, pull up a loop. Yarn over with Honey, and pull through 2 loops.
4. Repeat this again. The pattern will be that the first half of the dc will always be done in the clothing color, and the last half will be the fur color.
5. Repeat one more time.
6. Then, when there are 5 loops of Honey on the hook, pull the next color you will be working through all 5 loops to complete the bobble. In this case, it is Royalty.
7. After completed bobble, continue to work rnd 11 with the colors indicated.
8. From here, sc in Royalty in next 3 sts, pulling Honey through on the last one, and repeat dc bobble instructions for the other arm.
Rnd 12: in Royalty dec, sc in next 2 sts, in Sunflower dec, in White sc in next st, drop and cut white here leaving a long tail for sewing on some embellishments later, in Sunflower sc in next st, continue to carry Honey and Sunflower, but complete rnd in Royalty (dec, sc in each of the next 2 sts) 4x; 18 sts
Rnd 12 is a dec rnd to get us back to 18 total sts. Follow the color changes carefully.
At the beginning of rnd 13, add black to the colors you are crocheting around, because you will need it for the bobbles this rnd. You can knot it off on the inside later, before closing.
1. This rnd has the bobbles for the legs. They are made exactly as the arm bobbles, but with Black instead of Royalty.
2. As you did before, always pull Honey through to begin each bobble, and pull Honey through the Black two loops of each partial dc you are doing before finishing the whole bobble.
3. Pull Honey through 2 Black loops.
4. Remaining loops on hook during bobble should always be in Honey to distinguish the hands or feet from the clothing.
5. Keep working dc bobble in Black and Honey.
6. Make one more partial dc.
7. To complete the first leg bobble, pull Sunflower through 5 remaining loops to use for the vest.
8. At end of last Sunflower st, pull Honey though. Always between bobble with Honey on the loop. Repeat bobble instructions for next leg.
9. This is the FLO portion of rnd 13, where you are making the coat tails. Ch 3 at the end of the first dc and sl st back into first ch to make picot.
10. Then dc back into same st.
11. At this point, you’ve finished rnd 13. This is the back.
12. This is the front. Embroider on the details before moving on to stuffing and closing.
1. Place eyes between rnds 5 and 6, spaced evenly in front.
2. For the nose area, pull Beige through, creating a triangle, and fill it in.
3. Fill it in thoroughly. It might look weird at first!
4. Then, do the same thing with the beard, with one rnd in between the nose and beard.
5. Using the loose White strand, add 2 fangs just above the beard.
6. Using the loose Sunflower strand, add the shirt embellishments. These just sort of frame the jacket.
7. Add Sunflower below the White of the collar, and over the top of the arms.
8. Do the same on the other side too.
9. Pick up White again and add a little sleeve embellishment, like the ruffles of the sleeve.
10. Wrap White around the center of chest. Go over it several times.
11. The added White gives the appearance of the front shirt ruffle.
12. Pick up Beige again, and embroider small triangles above the eyes for the bushy eyebrows.
13. Work eyebrows on both sides.
14. The face is nearly complete!
15. Add the horns in a V formation on each side of the head, toward the top. I originally wanted to crochet these, but they would have been disproportionate. The embroidery worked best!
16. Horns done!
17. Don’t forget the final touches! Embroider his pony tail from last rnd of fur to the first rnd of his jacket in back. in a bit of a triangle.
18. Then add the bow over top of the top of the pony tail.
19. Here you are just creating two reverse triangles, filling them in, and filling in the center between.
20. Final details finished! Now, it is time to close him up!
Rnd 14: (dec, sc in next st) 6x; 12 sts
Rnd 15: dec 6x; 6 sts
Fasten off and weave in ends.
Ready to close!
For rnd 14, you will be closing normally in front, but then using the unworked back loops under the coat tail for the sts in the back.
To complete closing, I weave the last strand into each of the final sts in the final rnd and pull to close. Then knot and weave it into your work.
