What would the story of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz be, without the actual wizard himself?! Though he does confess he is not a very good wizard. The Wizard of Oz hand puppet is made with some creative imagination from the book’s descriptions, and a whole lot of love!

I enjoyed creating him so much! From his bald head to his button up green suit and ruffles, I felt that he really came to life out of the book!

The body of the Wizard of Oz Hand Puppet is worked from the top down, in the rnd, with no joining. The arms, buttons, and eyebrows are made separately and sewn on. The eyes and nose are also sewn on separately as well. Pages 2-5 are printer-friendly, with just the written pattern. Page 6 contains process pictures to better help with the steps.

Size: This is one size, fitting child through adult, but if you wish to make it smaller for a smaller child to play with, simply tighten the gauge or go down a hook size.

Gauge: 6 sts across and 7 rnds down = approximately 2 inches
