A little behind the scenes of the Bumblebee Bilbocatch:
If you’ve been around here for a while, you know that I absolutely love making creative toys that will help children to learn through play. When Hobbii Yarns approached me about designing something for their website I really wanted to give them something different, but still on brand for my mission; to inspire creativity.
They gave me a list of generic toy ideas, and I saw the term “bilbocatch” on the list. I had to google that word, because I had never heard that term before. As it turns out, the toy I’ve always referred to as “cup and ball,” has a name! haha I didn’t want to make just any bilbocatch though. I wanted to make something really inspiring, something that kids would enjoy time and time again, and something that represented more than just a cup and a ball.
The Bumblebee Bilbocatch is the perfect toy for inspiring fun, creative learning! It’s great for kids’ dexterity, and wonderful for their growing imaginations. Make a fun game of it! See how many times they can get the bee to the nectar of the flower. 🙂
