Seriously, has anyone ever, in the history of Chapstick, actually finished one? Here’s to hoping the force can keep them safely guarded!
Materials:
Worsted weight yarn in gray and black, a small amount of red, and whatever lightsaber color you prefer! The thickness of your yarn will effect the size and fit of your holder. Some good yarn for this project is Vanna’s Choice.
Crochet hook size E-3.5
Plastic lobster clasp (Clickable)
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Terms and abbreviations to know:
st, sts – stitch, stitches
sc – single crochet
inc – increase, working 2 sts into same st
ch – chain
Notes: This pattern is worked from the end of the sword to the handle, all in one piece, without joining rnds. I would suggest weaving in your ends as you work, because it is difficult to turn inside out once you’re finished. Gauge is not important. However, I do crochet tightly. if you find that yours is turning out too large for your ChapStick, try using a lighter weight yarn, or smaller hook. As a free pattern, this pattern has not been tested, but is accurate to the best of my abilities. Lightsaber ChapStick Holder
Begin with magic ring.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring; 6 sts
Rnd 2: inc in each st around; 12 sts
Rnds 3-10: sc in each st around; 12 sts

Tips when changing colors; pull through the next color to complete the last st in previous color.

Then continue on in new color.

Rnd 12: in black, sc in each st around; 12 sts
Rnd 13: in gray, sc in each st around; 12 sts
Rnd 14: beginning in gray, sc in next 5 sts, in red sc in next 2 sts, in gray sc in next 5 sts; 12 sts
Rnd 15: in gray, sc in each st around; 12 sts
Rnd 16: in black, sc in each st around; 12 sts
Rnd 17: in black still, sc over top of rnd 16, to make the last rnd thicker; 12 sts

Rnd 17 is just going over the same sts from rnd 16, to make them thicker.

Weave in your ends.

To attach the lobster clasp, slide it onto the back of the hook, and pull yarn through.

|
After pulling yarn through the clasp, ch 1 more, and sl st into next st. Fasten off, and weave in ends.
