This bandana hat and pixie dust necklace have been ready to publish since spring! I just felt they were more suited for fall, especially the pirate hat. It would be great for Halloween! Can you believe it’s September already? Fall is just around the corner, and this is not only a cute dress up hat, but something to keep the head warm on chilly nights! I know my littlest ones are always more likely to keep a dress up hat on their heads than just any old hat!
My little girl loves Jake and the Neverland Pirates! For her second birthday I made her an Izzy doll, but the birthday wouldn’t have been complete without having her own matching bandanna hat and pixie dust necklace!

- Insert hook into front loop only of next stitch, DO NOT yarn over.

Gauge for hat: 7 dc across and 4 rnds down = 2 inches
Notes: The bandana hat pattern is worked in rounds with joining. Joining is into the first st of the previous rnd, and the first st of the next rnd is worked into the same st as the joining sl st. The bandanna ties pattern remains the same for all sizes. Sizes are approximate and based on the measurements of the gauge.
The pixie dust pouch is worked in rnds with no joining. As free patterns, these patterns have not been tested, but are accurate to the best of my abilities. Please let me know if you find any errors!

Those chain counts are estimates for those sizes, but they are completely adjustable. Just measure the appropriate length needed to go around the neck, and extra to tie in a bow. I chained 120, approximately 25 inches long, and it fits my 2 year old perfectly.
Before you weave in the ends of your ch, use your tapestry needle to weave the ch through the ch spaces on the pixie dust pouch.
